Can I learn the mouth organ at home?
It is EXTREMELY easy to learn to play harmonica. Probably the easiest of all the popular instruments. The biggest advantage with this instrument is its size. You can carry it anywhere in your pocket, and even if you're playing it for the first time, no matter what you play, it will sound good.

How long does it take the average person to learn harmonica?
With regular deliberate practice, you can expect to be playing simple pop tunes within around 3 months. Within 6 to 12 months, your technique will improve and you will probably be able to work on bending notes (a very important skill for getting the best out of a harmonica).
Is harmonica beginner friendly?
If you are a beginner or a non-musician, I don't recommend a harmonica with a button on the side (chromatic) because it's a much more challenging instrument. I recommend you get off to a great start with the standard 10-hole harmonica (diatonic) first and then you can progress to a chromatic harmonica if you choose.
